Waiver Wire Week 14

We have finally made it to the playoffs! Waiver Wire in the playoffs can be tricky; most of your league mates will have their handcuffs rostered (make sure though) so this could be more of future matchups outlook. There are plenty of good matchups throughout the playoffs especially coming from the AFC East as you will see here.

Before we get to the list we wanted everyone to know we will be back for tomorrow’s show. a bad stomach bug hit and neither one of us could record. We hope this list makes up for no shows so far this week!

Running Backs

Rashaad Penny– 37.6%- Chris Carson exited early and allowed for Penny to get some touches early in the game with Penny making good on those 15 rushes for 74 yards and a touchdown while also contributing in the passing game with 4 catches and a TD.. Carson was able to return to the game but with another solid performance from Penny the backfield could see more of a split moving forward.

Raheem Mostert– 14.1%- Mostert was able to take advantage of Breida missing time again with a second week with a TD in a row. Mostert had 19 carries for 146 yards and a TD thoroughly out touching Tevin Coleman in the process. If Breida does continue to miss time Mostert should be in line for a solid role heading into next week and if Breida does return Mostert could eat into Tevin Coleman’s playing time making Mostert an intriguing playoff addition.

Benny Snell Jr– 16.8%- Another guy whose role depends on the health of a starter, Snell could continue to produce for the Steelers if Conner is forced to miss more time with the injury. Snell rushed 16 times for 63 yards and a TD this week and has a favorable matchup next week against the Cardinals if James Conner is not ready to go.

Honorable Mentions: Alexander Mattison– 17.7%

Gardner Minshew and Rashaad Penny are two Waiver Wire targets in Week 14.

Wide Receivers

Anthony Miller– 10.3%- Miller is averaging 11 targets over the last three weeks and have turned those targets into at least 6 catches on each. Miller has emerged as one of the top targets and continues to produce in this offense when given the chance even with Trubisky as the QB.

Robby Anderson– 46.9%- Anderson has scored 17 or more points the past 2 weeks and has received 15 targets over that span. Anderson fell out of favor earlier in the season but appears to be stepping back into a more prominent role with the season coming to a close quickly.

Russell Gage– 4.3%- Gage served as the #2 receiver in the Falcons offense with Julio out this week and produced as such with 5 catches for 52 yards and a TD. If Julio continues to miss time Gage will be an interesting flex option for the first week of the playoffs.

Honorable Mentions: Devante Parker– 64.8%, Deebo Samuel– 43.9%

Quarterbacks

Gardner Minshew– 10.4%- Minshew was inserted back into the lineup this week with Foles struggling to move the offense. Minshew was able to come into the game and throw for 147 yards a TD and an INT. Minshew picked up right where he left off and was able to breath life back into the Jaguars offense. Minshew earned himself another start this week with a solid performance.

Ryan Fitzpatrick– 5.4%- Fitzpatrick has come on strong of late with 6 of his 7 starts over the past 7 weeks ending in 13 or more fantasy points. Fitzpatrick has one of the easiest schedules moving forward with games against the Jets, Giants, and the Bengals the next three weeks. Fitzpatrick could be an underrated addition to help win your championship.

Honorable Mentions: Ryan Tannehill– 21.4%

Tight Ends

Jack Doyle– 45.9%- in Doyle’s first game without running mate Eric Ebron he received 11 targets with 6 catches for 73 yards and a TD. Doyle has been a sure handed safety valve for a few years now and with the WR group in Indy banged up and Ebron missing the rest of the season Doyle should continue to see a large share in this passing game. Doyle is a must add if available in your league.

Mike Gesicki– 10.3%- Gesicki was able to reach the endzone again this week with yet another solid performance. Gesicki has received 6 or more targets the past 5 weeks with 7 in each of the last two weeks. With the Dolphins easy schedule of the Jets, Giants and Bengals, Gesicki could be a plug and play TE for the fantasy playoffs

Honorable Mentions: Kyle Rudolph– 44.5%
